This project is the result of an innovative programme, elaborated by the town of Riedisheim together with SOMCO, a public housing company based in Mulhouse. Its specificity consists of the integration of a nursery school and a community centre in a 35 units housing programme. These public facilities are located along the street and connect the nearby public plaza with the site of the project.

Four long buildings run through the site, almost parallel to each other. They combine a traditional pitched roof section with innovative design and materials. Most of the apartments are organised on two storeys, double-oriented and open on a garden. At the centre of each building, a staircase climbs though a fault and leads to six single-storey apartments.

The southern façade is widely opened, made of wooden panels and window frames, protected by balconies covered by a delicate metallic mesh. This white metallic skin covers the roofs and the north façade.
