This family house is anchored on a large rock platform, on a steep slope located above the village of Abreschviller. The volumetry of the project results of the imbrication of three plain wooden-frame volumes, set on an elevated concrete platform. Its main goal was to preserve the site and its vegetation in its natural state.
The three volumes are combined to protect the openings from northern cold and western winds. They open up largely to the forest and the panoramic views on the valley. A simple fireplace is the main source of energy of the project, thanks to its central location and the high-efficiency of the wooden shell of the construction.
